Scholarships for Students @ Penn State Delaware County Campus

Scholarships and Awards For Engineering Students


Boeing Scholarship: Consideration should be given to an undergraduate woman/underrepresented student enrolled in Engineering, Science, IST or business. Students must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and have completed two semesters; consideration shall be given to one undergraduate woman/underrepresented student majoring in Engineering; consideration shall be given to one undergraduate student majoring in Engineering with a minimum of 3.0 GPA and has demonstrated financial need. Consideration shall be given to one undergraduate woman/underrepresented student majoring in Business or IST with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

The Campus Honors Award: Funded in part by Barnes & Noble College Bookstores, the Jane E. Cooper Endowed Scholarship, the campus Advisory Board, Dollars for Scholars, and other scholarship sources, this award is presented to outstanding incoming freshmen who matriculate at the Delaware County Campus. The award is renewable for a second year contingent upon continuing at the Delaware County Campus and maintaining a 3.0 GPA or better:

The Barnes & Noble Presidential Scholarship: This scholarship, funded by the Barnes and Noble Presidential Scholarship, is awarded to undergraduate students involved in the Campus Honors programs.

The Lawrence E. Hallstrom Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship has been funded through contributions of Mr. Hallstrom, a 1929 Penn State alum and graduate of the College of Engineering, and his wife, Geraldine. Consideration shall be given to full time undergraduate students enrolled at Delaware County for at least two semesters; preference is given to a student enrolled in the College of Engineering.

The Scott Latimer Engineering Award: Funded by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Latimer, family and friends, in memory of their son, Scott, a Penn State student who was killed by a drunk driver in 1998, this award honors a full-time undergraduate student enrolled or planning to enroll in engineering who has achieved strong academic records or who manifests promise of academic success and who has demonstrated involvement and leadership on the campus.

The Thomas McKelvey Engineering Award: Funded by Mr. McKelvey, a Penn State alum, to recognize superior performance by a student in the College of Engineering. Nomination for the award is made through campus faculty teaching engineering related courses.

The David E. and Margaret M. Pergrin Scholarship: This scholarship has been funded by contributions of Penn State alumni and friends through the efforts of the Delaware County chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and longtime member David E. Pergrin and his wife, Margaret. Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who have completed as least two semesters at Penn State Delaware County. Preference is given to an Engineering student or to a student enrolled in Education.

The PNC Financial Corp. Delaware County Campus Scholarship: This scholarship is funded through the PNC Corporation and Provident Bank, one of its member banks. Consideration shall be given to students at Penn State Delco who have achieved superior academic record.

The Charles and Jean Zeien Scholarship: Funded by Charles and Jean Zeien, to recognize outstanding incoming freshman who are enrolled in engineering and/or business, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to residents of the City of Chester, PA.
